2015 Poppy Parker Collection Revealed
David Buttry walked collectors through the new offerings for 2015 in the Poppy Parker collection. This doll line is an increasingly popular line for Integrity Toys and David Buttry brings a wonderful vision to his designs and this collection. He stated in the webinar that his inspiration for this collection started with a documentary about Diana Vreeland, legendary fashion icon and editor of both Harpers Bazaar and US Vogue. The 1960’s will come alive again through Poppy Parker this year.
For those of you who are not WClub members and have not been in contact with dealers regarding these dolls, run don’t walk to your IT dealer and get on the list for anything you want. The grapevine reports that many of these Poppy’s are already sold out.

The name of this girl says it all. She is all suited up and accessorized for a modeling “Go see”. The little blue portfolio with pictures is a nice touch. She is adorable and for those collectors that are happy to enter into and stay in the 60’s for a while, this collection will be right up your alley. I am still a fan of the 1950’s Poppy so most of this line is a pass for me. I am happy for those collectors who do favor this time period.

Whoa! You have to give it to a designer when they really take themselves outside of the box and go with it. While the 60’s is not my favorite fashion era, you have to love the full out no holds barred drama and fun of this look. This is total 1960’s Verushka Vogue. This is also, according to David,one of his favorites from the collection. Far out! I am shocked this wasn’t one of the centerpiece dolls for upcoming Cinematic convention.

I love Poppy Parker. I am not afraid to admit it either. Darla is growing on me and I especially like her new improved face mold. The tease of Chip was given to us at this years Fashion Royalty convention. We were looking forward to getting a good look at him since the rumor is ….he is Poppy’s boyfriend. The Poppy and Chip gift set is absolutely adorable and Miss Darla wows us in her silky blue dress and microphone.

Simply Simpatico Poppy and Darla
It took me a bit of time to warm up to this Fashion Royalty Convention collection gift set. My tastes in collecting do not run towards the mod era so the clothing for many of the convention collection offerings were not what I prefer. I decided to play around with this gift set and see what I could do as far as redressing and restyling. I just love it when I find a diamond in the rough with a doll. That is what this Poppy and Darla are for me. I restyled the bangs and dressed Ms. Poppy in a favorite Bogue’s Vogues and now I LOVE her. Ms. Darla took a trip to Boutique de Bogue as well and I am really appreciating the new face sculpt on her.
