Integrity Toys Announces Revamped Nu.Face Collection
On Saturday, Integrity Toys released the first capsule collection from it’s very popular Nu.Face line in roughly two years. We had a little glimpse of the newly revamped line at the 2014 IT convention but that wasn’t nearly enough to satisfy the demand for this one. The new and improved line has Vaughn Sawyer’s love for color and edginess all over it. It appears that he and the team at Integrity went to the couture house of Balmain for inspiration and for the most part, it translated really well. A number of comments from collectors would indicate concern that the young, urban chic vibe was missing from this collection and I would have to agree. This collection while colorful and high fashion was not, in my humble opinion, street fashion. You judge for yourself. The edition sizes reflect the popularity of this line with a whopping 600-800 of each style. Don’t let the large number fool you though, these babies will sell out…if they have not already. Wow!! Once again, the designers went to Balmain for inspiration. This time they used Prefall 2015 collection as a guide.

I would believe this one is most likely already sold out at dealers. Giselle is a very popular face mold and this one is sure to please Giselle collectors. How did they do this top in 1/6 scale?!! Unbelievable.
Wow !! I do love these girls, especially Ayumi & Giselle, but especially love your keen eye to pick up the Balmain inspiration. As a fashion lover, this even makes them more FABULOUS to me !!! Thanks for an amazing post 😍😍😍😍😛

Thank you for the wonderful post. I think that the fashions are very Urban Chic, and I am glad they don’t have the Street fashion appeal that some people may be looking for. If someone wants the youthful, unmatching and sloppy look of street fashion, they can purchase the Fashionista Barbies at Toys are Us. These dolls reflect true fashion of our modern times. Isn’t that what we are looking for in a fashion doll, young or old? I think they are great.

Wow, I love all of them!!

I went for Dominique and Nadja in this line. Although I have 2 Giselle dolls and would like more, I couldn’t find a way to like this one. I think the grey shadow is too washed out for her with the warm brown hair and her lips are not scowling. To me, it leaves the lips looking like they are painted for a different mouth than she has. I may regret my choice if the real doll is painted differently. I impressed that you knew the designer who inspired the line.

I really enjoyed your blog post. It was great to learn about the designer inspiration behind this latest Nu Face line. I think Vaughn did a pretty good interpretation though I would have liked to see some more embellishment in Ayumi’s outfit. I have to agree with you Erin too. She looked a bit milquetoast.
