The promo pictures didn’t do it for me and the purple disco dress CERTAINLY wasn’t doing anything to recommend this doll to me. The disco theme is just not what I like to collect. Something about this doll spoke to me, however, and I am glad I purchased her. Here is why…

Obviously I was having some quality time with Photoshop on a few of these shots. I have to say that the facial screening on this Poppy is a bit more sophisticated than the norm for Miss Poppy. We saw this same palette on the Poppy’s that were introduced at IFDC this year. To be perfectly honest, I am not sure I am ready to say goodbye to the dewy eyed fresh faced Poppy quite yet. This harder, more polished Poppy does make for some dramatic photos though.
