I Believe in Fairytales!
If you were a W Club member this past weekend and attempted to get a coveted ticket into the Integrity Toys 2017 convention…you were definitely hoping for happy endings. The event sold out even faster than last year…in just an hour to be precise. Since spots were limited to 500, many were a little nervous about whether or not they would get in. I know I was. I am happy to report that this collector had a happy ending to her quest for a golden ticket. Adding to the excitement of this event is the fact that it will be held in fairytale land itself…right next to Disneyland in Orlando, FL. Double win in my book! This event will take place October 18-21, 2017 at the Hyatt Regency in Orlando. Registration fee is $550. If you are interested in attending, you can add your name to the waiting list here.
For this years convention, Integrity Toys continued a little perk they added last year for W Club members. It’s a little taste of what will be coming to attendees in the convention collection. Even if you are not attending the convention, you can participate in this opportunity. This is a W Club exclusive.

As a special treat…we get to see the doll through Jason Kramer’s amazing illustrations! eeeeee!!!!
The inspiration for this doll, as many have already reported, is clearly a 2011 Vogue Russia editorial.
Are we excited to see what else they have in store for us at this convention? Oh yes…I think we are.

Did eventually get a ticket – the theme was irresistible! I had to stay up all night as I was afraid to miss the 3am (in OZ) roll-out, that and I’d already bought the plane ticket. This one is going to be so good!

I completely agree Julie! This event is shaping up to be memorable and amazing.

the Russian girl & her apparel (with the long red cigarette holder) is obviously modeled on Cruella de Vil , the villainess from Disney animated movie “101 Dalmatians” (1961)

Yes indeed Viktor. You are right. The real inspiration behind the model and eventually the doll is the character Cruella de Vil. Thank you for the correction. 🙂

I missed out by only seconds! So disappointed. I did put myself and my daughter on the waiting list, so we will see what happens. 😭 I did pre-order this doll though!

I hope you and your daughter make it off the waiting list soon. There is typically a good chance if you enter the wait list early.

I’m not crazy about the trend of having to order a doll based only on a sketch, but I couldn’t resist!

Yes I hear you. It is always a little nerveracking. I can say that after ordering a number of dolls now from IT based on sketches…I have yet to be disappointed 😉
