Hudson’s Bay Barbie!
Sorry to start this blog post out with some snark but here it goes. When you are a company the size of Mattel…and you say you are going to have something for sale on a certain date at a certain time….you would think they would honor that. Nope. But then again, this was the same company that advertised a doll for $50 then raised the price 50 percent an hour into the sale to $75. Snark over…for now. 
All this being said, Mattel released a highly anticipated doll today ( about an hour and a half later than they said they would but released it they did)…whaaaaat…how did that extra snark get in there?
Seriously though..Carlyle has a new girl to show off at Mattel and she is a beauty! Well done Carlyle!!! Also important to note…for once Canadian collectors can buy directly and get this one shipped to their homes. She is also available at Hudson’s Bay online.

I always say that when you’re a Co. the size of Mattel, you can dare to be arrogant enough not to do what you promise, and ignore your buyer’s wishes/comments Goes for different dolls than the prototypes in the promo pics, goes for release dates, goes for continuing making badly made articulated Silkstones, etc., etc.

Yes, that was frustrating having to wait until Mattel got it together and posted the doll for sale. And the silence from the Mattel admins. They could have at least posted and said they were working on it or something.

I am crazy about this doll! She reminds me of the Donna Karan, Ralph Lauren, and Nicole Miller dolls from the 90’s, and a few scattered others like the Burberry Blue Label Barbie and the Coach Barbie. This is who Barbie is to me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I drove to Montreal this a.m. to get one and have deboxed it. The quality is excellent!!!!!!

Classic Barbie Collector Sale or roll-out…Maybe BC could just say, “we may or may not, according to which way the wind blows, put the ______ Barbie Doll on sale approximately some time in the near future at an undisclosed time…subject to change. Oh…and she will be like “Finding Waldo” secret treasure hunt, happy hunting!”
Carlyle is bringing his “A” Game and I’m loving it.

Hudson Bay Doll-Carlyle continues to do a beautiful presentation-now I’m going to start collecting his designs…too bad the poodle is not fluffy with fur texture and the doll face is so standard, but the fashion and accessories make up for it.

I love her outfit. They probably won’t be carrying her here…ever. We don’t even have made to move dolls in stores here yet (UHG).
