I am not feeling the dress. It’s different but it feels kind of clumpy on her. Also, I am a lover of updo’s…you all know this…but I am feeling a little “updo fatigue” with this one. Her face is beautiful and I love the raven hair. I am not sold on the lip color yet but I think it is workable. I really like the jewelry. Has anyone “easily” gotten that hair comb thingy to work yet? If so share how you did it. Enquiring minds would love to know. I am still going to order but I think she will be redressed fairly quickly.
WClub members have until Monday,April 14th at noon EST to order.
Ready Steady Go is the best value … Don’t like that redhead at all. The blond is pretty… Worrisome tho about that hair! I have Ready Steady and adore her! My top 5 doll!

I think she is pretty, with seductive eyes; her lip color might look better if it were a lighter shade. The color of the dress is also pretty, and I like it from the waist up. The lace at
the bottom seems like an afterthought. But what do I know? 🙂

I am not a huge fan of the skirt and lace on the dress either. 🙂

I totally agree with all your comments regarding this doll. Not that inspired…. I am just realizing that Victoire Roux is the new Monogram. Happy though, that I did not have to spend money this time LOL!

🙂 Excellent way to look at it. More money in your pocket for other things 🙂

I like her except for her dress – and that hair comb would have to go as well. I think her eyeshadow needs more of a hint of pink on her eyelids to compliment the lipstick. And, yes, the lipstick could be a bit lighter. I usually like reds and corals with raven hair. Pinks are more for blondes. That dress almost looks like her slip is showing!! Lol Don’t care for this dress. The bodice of it is nice but it needs a different skirt pattern. I can’t afford her right now, either, Labrini. I just bought a Poppy Parker so am broke right now. 🙂

I definitely think if she is not speaking to you…save that money for future Poppy’s 🙂

Completely agree with your assessment. Her hair is a redux of Evening in Montreal which was the last offering, so it feels uninspired. The dress is definitely too bulky, perhaps if a lighter/thinner fabric had been used it wouldn’t look so heavy. Also agree about her lip color, I think a more violet pink color would work well and be pretty for spring. I am passing and thankful to not be tempted to spend the $ right now (and yes, we do need to schedule lunch soon!!)

🙂 Happy to have a fashionista agree with me. 🙂 Lunch soon!

This is the first VR that I’ve actually liked. I think the dress is a bit bulky, but I think it was her Brunette ponytail that made me decide to take the plunge. She will be my first VR, so time will tell. I’m usually a Poppy Parker, Vanessa (old face mold) Giselle & Agnes fan. It’s fun to see what everyone else thinks about her though. Rebecca, I look forward to your review after you see her IRL.

Congrats on entering the VR pool! I love this character…just not sure of this version.

Actually, the first thing I thought of when I saw this dress was: blue artichoke…

Ha! Ha! Ha! You called it right on, Thomas!! 🙂

{SNORT!!} that is a good one!

I like the idea of the dress, but I think it didn’t translate well in miniature.

Excellent point Diane!

Dear Rebecca,
I quite agree wih all your comments. She has got a beautiful face but there’s something that doesn’t work for me either.
Lots of love
Rebecca who’s now in Brittany.

I hope all went well with your move to Brittany. I also hope you have lots of loving family and friends with you there. {{Hugs}}

I’m also doubting about getting this one, but I think it’ll be much better IRL and don’t want to spend a fortune buting her on the secondary market… So, I think I’ll order her. i would preferred red lips and a different hairdo, though.

I agree…red lips and a different hairdo would have made purchasing an easier decision for me.

I know, it doesn’t mean anything:

Rebecca,
Hi!! You never have e-mailed me so I don’t know how else to get in touch with you as I do not have YOUR e-mail address!! I have a friend who would like to know the dimensions of the Suzy Goose piano? I knew you had one so thought I would ask you? My e-mail address is debi@drlik.net. Or you can just answer me on your Blog, I guess. It sure would be nice to have your e-mail address, though, my friend!! 🙂 I talk to Hilda from time to time now. We have discovered that we only live 30 min. away from each other!!
Please let me know the dimensions so I can let my friend know whether or not she has room for this piano where she wants to put it.
Thanks,
Debi

Sent you an email my dear. 🙂

Yes, Rebecca, thanks!! My friend looks forward to hearing the dimensions of the piano. 🙂

I totally agree with your assesment of the doll. About the comb, what I did with my Montreal, was place the comb flat on her hair and firmly slide it inside them, teeth towards the bun, so it can come at the right place.

I just managed to sign up for this club I personally think her picture is beautiful and wish I had the opportunity to purchase her
