Barbie for big girls.

Unexcused Absence…

I have been tardy from the blog and I admit it.  There are good reasons for it , I promise.  For the past three weeks, I have been busy prototyping some items that I am hoping to sell at Barbie convention and through the blog (Etsy shop still being set up) as well.   While I can’t show many of the items yet, they are all in stages of doneness in my laundry room…I offer up some sneak peeks at the end of this post.  In the meantime, I decided to put Miss Poppy in the window for a photoshoot inspired by the beautiful spring green color that is popping up(LOL! pun intended) all around the Pacific Northwest right now.  Spring has sprung in the garden…and in the studio as well.

Model:  I Love How You Love Me Poppy Parker

Dress:  Bogue’s Vouges ( https://www.etsy.com/shop/boguesvogues)

The piece above was repainted by a very talented artist I am proud to call a friend.  There will be more about her and her work in a future post.

    • Thank you my dear! 🙂 Thank you for all your support as well. It is always nice when someone holds your hand and is your cheerleader. Thanks for dusting off the pom pom’s and cheering me on.

How do I place an order for your beautiful new furniture?

    April 2, 2014 at 9:51 pm

    • I am not quite ready for orders just yet Connie. Keep watching the blog in the next couple of weeks and I should be ready to take orders. I will announce it here first. There are French arm chairs( pink and white), sofas( pink and white) and side tables (white)right now…lamps, rugs, tufted headboards and ottomans and OOAK painted furniture won’t be available until summer.

  6. I will be keeping an eye out for one of those lamps, Rebecca!! How tall is it?

Love all of your photography – as always!!

And I absolutely adore that blonde haired, blue-eyed Poppy!! I want her, too!! Lol

    April 2, 2014 at 10:35 pm

    • This particular style is 5 inches tall. That equates to 30 inches tall in real people size. It is a tall lamp. 🙂

      April 4, 2014 at 12:58 pm

      • That height is perfect for where I want to put it!! I had another that was much too short and I was not happy with it. So this lamp will go on sale sometime in the summer, you said? I don’t suppose you would let me know how much it will be? Lol

Thanks so much for offering such lovely pieces, Rebecca!! Have fun! 🙂

      • Okey Doke! 🙂

I just realized……that green dress on Poppy is a Matisse Fashions (Brenda Visaya) dress?? I should have known, recognized her style!! Lol She is a great friend & mentor of mine. 🙂
