Holiday Inspiration

It’s that time of year again and I don’t know about you guys but sometimes I have a hard time getting inspired and enthused to decorate for the holidays.  This year was no exception so I knew It was time to hit my inspiration spot and ramp up on the excitement for the holidays.  I thought I would share a few photos of one of my favorite places on earth and a place of magic for me during the holidays.  It’s called Molbak’s and I hope you enjoy the photos as much as I enjoyed going there and taking them.

    • It is indeed but then…I can’t go to the beach on Christmas day and sit in my shorts and sandals…like someone in Florida can. 😉 Glad you liked the photos my dear.

    • Ohhh I love the smell of fresh pine too Laura…I just step out my back door and breath in deeply LOL! We back up to a nature preserve full of douglas fir so I guess we are covered in the fresh pine smell eh? Glad you enjoyed the photos of the magical Molbak’s.

  5. I love visiting stores such as Molbaks! We have Adams. Last week they already had some of their displays set up. It is a wonderland and I have to look at every single thing.
Wishing you the wonderfully beautiful season you envision.

Very cool! I’m hoping to stay happy, motivated and productive this season – rather than just “busy” – lol!

  7. We don’t have a Molbaks but I do so much enjoy visiting places like that. We do have the Balimore House in Asheville, NC which is an hour drive for me but it is so worth it. The estate is decorated top to bottom in Christmas decor. There are over 100 trees decorated, even Scrooge would leave there in the Christmas Spirit. Thanks for sharing!

    • Oh my word! One of my dreams is to visit Biltmore in Asheville during the holidays. I have seen photos and I could only dream of something so beautiful. So lucky for you to have it close enough to drive to. If I lived that close, I would visit it every Christmas. 😉

Thank you so much for sharing. We don’t have it here in central Illinois. But it certainly an inspiration!

    • Hi Carin. If you don’t mind me asking….where abouts in central Illinois are you? There used to be a fabulous Prarie Gardens home and garden center in Champaign, IL I used to love visiting there during the holidays. It could be gone by now… it’s been a few years since I lived there. I am glad you enjoyed the photos of of my holiday inspiration place.

  10. Don in Seattle

My friend Tim from Tacoma and I were just talking about Molbak’s and when we should make our yearly trek. Such inspiration to draw from. Of course I spend way too much money here , but it is Christmas. Gorgeous photos. Don in Seattle
