Grace Kelly Trousseau sneaks???

I was searching for more images of Grace Kelly bride Silkstone this morning and found this little tidbit…..http://www.sweetydoll.co.kr/shop/shopbrand.html?xcode=186&type=X

Click on the trousseau picture and you will get a photo of two dolls in two outfits.  I am assuming this is the doll in the giftset and both outfits will be included.  No confirmation from Mattel on this so I can’t say this is the actual final product but it sure looks like it could be.  Wow!!  I sure hope so.  I would be so happy to have the wonderful white hat and coat that she was pictured in on her honeymoon.  All she needs is a little poodle in her arms to make it perfect. Winking smile  The other dress is the one she wore when they first met I believe.

  2. I don’t like her face. She doesn’t look like Grace at all! Oh well. The clothes are nice.

    • I have said this on other doll boards but it must be a daunting task to accurately duplicate a face sculpt on such an iconic fashion figure. To me, Grace Kelly was the embodiment of cool classic elegance and while this dolls face may not be her exact likeness, I think it still gives the feeling of cool classic elegance. I can’t wait to try the clothes on some other Silkies 😉

I agree that the doll is elegant but IMO if Mattel can do stellar jobs on face sculpts of Audrey, Liz, Frank, Elvis, Cher, Lucy among others (and yes they have missed the boat at times with some) they could have come closer to Grace’s likeness. She is so iconic andI was so looking forward to it but now disappointed. There was ooak Grace doll posted on one of the boards recently that was so close to the Grace I was hoping for. Hopefully I can buy just the clothes somehow without dishing out the small fortune they are charging.
