It’s a Nice Day for a Picnic in Paris
I am still feeling the inspiration from my recent trip to Paris ( hope that sticks around for a while too). That coupled with the recent sunshine and Spring temperatures had me feeling like a Picnic….and here it is.
Model: OOAK Debut Silkstone ( no she isn’t the Paris doll festival Debut but doesn’t she look like one!!) I rerooted a caucasian Debut and repainted the eyebrows.
Dress: Bellissima Couture ( http://bellissimacouturefashions.wordpress.com/)
Hat: Bogue’s Vogues ( http://www.etsy.com/shop/boguesvogues)
Shoes, Gloves and Jewelry: Mattel
**The photos above were made possible by the following talented artists who were willing to share their amazing photoshop brushes on deviantart: Blazter(JavierZhx) and deseratedeceit. **
Miss Debut here represents my one and ONLY attempt at rerooting a Silkstone. That process is not for a first timer folks. I was lucky to have fingers when I was done and it took about a month LOL! I now have a completely new level of respect for anyone who reroots these Silkies.

LOVE! I have a raven Debut that someone did for me and I wish I had known how much anquish it caused him — I would have paid him double! Le tableau c’est tres charmant. (Not sure if that’s actual French, LOL).

The French sounds good to me…but then I don’t speak it that well either LOL! Merci! Even if I was muttering expletives the entire time I rerooted, I am still happy with the results and glad I did it. I am sure there are others way more talented than I who can do it much more easily. Just wanted to do a shout out to those who do it and let them know ” I tip my hat!” 🙂

You did a lovely job with her hair. It is perfection. Did I tell you that I named this fashion Picnic by the Seine, or do we just think a lot alike?
April 18, 2013 at 9:40 pm
Oh my word!! No I had not remembered that you called it that. How perfect. Yes, brilliant minds do indeed think alike my dear. {Ouch!} I think I just hurt myself…giving me a pat on the back there. Hope you are having a blast at GAW!

It is totally gorgeous. May I ask the source of the left straw case. I know the right straw tote is from the silkstone market day. But I still can not think about thr source of the left one.

The little picnic basket is from an Integrity toys set called “Let’s Kiss and Make Up”. It was one of their Funny Face dolls. Hope this helps. Mattel also has a picnic hamper in one of the Willows WI Barbie’s

Thank you so much. It is very generous of you to share woth me. I see it is afashion royalty, that’s why it was on the tip of my tongue.
Yes , the cherry pie barbie picnic set is nice. And perfect picnic is also nice.
For barbie doll, I also recomend the follwing beautiful series, which have nice straw bags: the garden party fashion, plantation belle, picnic set, suburban shopper.
