Bring on the houndstooth I say!!  I love that Jessy did this in pale lavender too.  It’s glorious with Nadja’s cinnamon hair  and a first for IT in using this hair color with this facemold.  The larger purse is inspired by Dior’s book tote

And small bag is inspired by JACQUEMUS “ Le Chiquito” bag

The outfit is another IT homage to Alaïa with an update to the jacket…fabulous translation!!

Ok..let’s start with the positives.  I adore this Elsye face mold in A-tone skin color and sleek sophisticated updo with purple eye shadow.  I adore the chunky gold accessories and emerald clasp bag.  The shoes are ok.  The dress…ummmm….urrrr….I got nothin’ .  This is a rare miss for the super talented Jessy Ayala.  I don’t get the gown at all.  Maybe it just couldn’t translate in this scale well?  If it were a two piece thing I could live with it and figure I would just use the top with a different skirt.  Regrettably…it’s all one piece so the entire outfit is out for me.  I have absolutely no idea where even to start to look for inspiration on this gown …and to be honest….no real desire to.  Sorry Jessy.  Love the doll, not the dress.  Will buy just for the doll so it’s still a win for IT.

You had me at the pink hair David…you had me at the pink hair.  Ohhhh my!  Poppy is in Palm Springs this year according to designer David Buttry and she is fabulous in lemon and pink for this first design of the season.  I adore the hair but the dress design is a close second.  The blue eyes and berry kissed lips are giving me life here..the whole thing is just

Fainting

Yep…she is definitely going in my shopping cart…no question.

So There you have it.  Three fabulous upgrade dolls and a whole lot of perks for the base membership.  Frankly, this membership is worth it for the chance to go to the convention alone.  For those who like to attend, you need to be a WClub member because the convention sells out every year with just WClub members.  The upgrade dolls are extra above and beyond the $50.  It has been amazing to see this club grow each and every year.  Love it.

If you are at all interested, you have until

WClub deadline

to sign up.  If interested, click here to go to Integrity Toys WClub signup page.

Hello Rebecca and thank you so much for blogging again. I love your blog, your comments and beautiful pictures.
At first, I didn’t like any of the upgrade dolls. Truth be told, the conditions here, polar cold and power outages, were not the best when they were introduced. Also when one has been collecting for so long, one gets extremely picky.
I didn’t like the Cream iteration of the 2018 convention Nadja/London show at all and was more thinking of her as Ayumi too even though I know the differences in the sculpts.
Hungarian might work this time for me. I love her lipstick and screening in general. I think she’s extremely glamorous. That being said, I dislike the outfit. I immediately thought of the cheap TATI logo, TATI was, I think they’re closed now, a cheap store in Paris. Azzedine Alaïa indeed found inspiration in it for one of his collections and I never liked it. All things considered, I am getting this Nadja. I will sell her clothes, shoes and accessories when I get her. I won’t be getting any of the other two. I don’t collect pink hair or any kind of fantasy hair. You know how classic I am. I do like the cute dress though but not enough to buy the whole doll. And I am not impressed with Elyse. The dress is more Janelle Monae than Millicent Rogers. I would have loved the Charles James’ gown of the same idea but like you, not this one. And I honestly don’t think that this A tone skin tone, even though I do love black dolls – Adèle 2:0 is still my favorite- is working for Elyse. I recently sold my black Eugenia. Well, her eyes were a disappointment anyway. Oh well, there’s way more diversity this year than last year regarding the club upgrades and I am impressed and grateful that the membership is still $50. I wish they will find another way of selling their convention tickets this year.
    Big hugs.

    • Thank you so much for educating me on the TATI history. I am woefully ignorant on that and enjoyed learning. I hope that this next year in the club brings you some of the classic styles your amazingly refined eye and taste call for. I know I would love to see that as well. I also agree with you in the convention tickets. My hope is there will be a larger ticket pool if the convention is virtual. Time will tell.
