Mermaid Gown Silkstone…
…is now available at BarbieCollector.com. She has been available at dealers for about a month now but finally BFC members can collect on that quarterly reward and order this baby at a discount.
A new promo photo showed up on the Barbie Collector sight as well. I am always amazed by Lars Auvinen’s work. He is the model and set builder for the BFMC ( Barbie Fashion Model Collection or in another word…Silkstones) promotional photos. I had the pleasure of hearing him speak and chatting personally with him at the last National Barbie Convention. He puts 100% into his craft and it never fails to inspire me. The detail he goes into on these sets just boggles the mind. My dream would be to sit in the corner and just watch while he creates. My other dream is to sit in the corner and watch the photographer , Paul Jordan, as he photographs the set.

Crazy gorgeous, once again, the folding chairs are just TDF, and of course the doll is as good as it gets!!

LOL! We are such birds of a feather…first thing I noticed besides the dolls were the deck chairs. 🙂

Can I go with you 😉 We can always ask if they need an assistent photographer and assistent stylist for one day. But I do think I’m would not be able to stay in that corner…

I can’t think of a more fun time than that Rogier. Just the opportunity to see you style something would be enough for me. 🙂

she’s been on my “A” List (aquire) since she was sneeked on the BFC.

I like that phrase..”A” list. I may have to use your phrase in the future Deb. 🙂

Love this diorama – hope we will get to see it up close and personal at a convention some day. That was one of the many highlights of the Garden Grove convention……
Can’t wait to see what YOU will do with Ms. Mermaid once she arrives chez Berry!

I completely agree Peter. Those sets were beyond amazing and what a treat to be able to see them up close and personal. Hope to see them again some day.

Hi, Any word on when the 2013 Holiday Hostess will be making her debut? I’m dying to find out! I have looked just about every other day to see if something has been posted. I have all three hostess dolls right now and cannot wait until she is released!!
Thanks!
Gina

Hi Gina! No word on the 2013 Holiday Hostess other than that it will be a New Years theme and there is a sketch
