Beautiful Beaux–Part Deux
I felt the need to photograph the new Fashion Royalty convention exclusive by Dressmaker Details on a Silkstone. I also wanted to photograph the adorable dress beneath the shrug….my previous photos really didn’t show off that. Also, the gloves are leather-like and fit really, really well on a silkie. LOVE them! I am starting to pull out the holiday stuff for photos so be prepared….Christmas trees will show up randomly from now through January LOL! I am also looking forward to photographing the Fashion Royalty Convention collection when it arrives ( taps foot impatiently while waiting ). Oh and not to mention…but I will definitely mention…I have a couple of new hats by the talented Allyrenee to showcase in some upcoming photos.

This doll and fashion takes my breath away. I love the close up pictures. Can’t wait for the Christmas pictures. Christmas Trees and decorations are beautiful forms or art. I love Christmas!

Thank you Ralph! I decorate for the holidays starting November 1st. It is a big deal at my house and it culminates with a ladies tea that a friend and I host the first part of December. We have around 60 people attend. One of the highlights is a tour through the doll room. 😉

I LOVE this fashion on Verushka. The elegance of her face really compliments the dress.

Thank you so much Laura! I really like this outfit on her too. I think Steven Fraser’s fashions are best suited towards the classic and vintage lines of the Silkstones…or at least for my photography anyway. Love, love, love Dressmaker Details.

I just love Verushka, as you know! You did such a wonderful job with the styling. I covet that little bottle brush Christmas tree. Is it Vintage?

Thank you so much Hilda! That little tree is the cutest isn’t it?! I got it with a set of Bethany Lowe trees I purchased a while back. She does the most adorable vintage inspired holiday decorations. I have the tree in various sizes so I am sure you will be seeing more of them in my photos as we get closer to the holidays.

Too perfect for words. All of these shots are so lovely, but I am especially thrilled with the detail shots at the end. And that backrop. The floor, the wall, the table, the chair, the little X-Mas tree! Major coveting going on here. (And you use them all so well.)

Didn’t you just love the shot with the label?! I loved that one heehee. That console was a complete “find” on ebay a couple years back and I just love bottle brush trees period. Thank you so much for the lovely comment. I could go on and on about the lovely diorama you did for convention and all the details in it. LOVE!

She looks so pretty and the dress fits perfectly. DD gloves are the best and always have been the only gloves that look good on a 1/6 scale doll.
Where is the bow attached on the dress? Can it be moved? I don’t understand it’s placement.

From what I can tell, the bow can definitely be removed. I took these shots from the side and they do not show the bow off to its best advantage ( I admit my focus was on the hat for these shots 😉 ) The bow is on the upper right torso of the bodice and I like it. I think it would be kind of bland without the bow. Since the dress is already a cute bubble skirt design, I think the bow fits right in not to mention the color picks up the hat nicely. Yes, all roads lead back to the hat for me.

I wouldn’t remove it entirely, I might move it though. I think your photo is perfectly focused!

The good thing is the bow seems really easy to remove and replace wherever you want it to go. 🙂

I didn’t really like the outfit until you posted this pic with the silkstone. I think her softer features and the paleness of hair and skin compliment it much better (although I do love the entire Integrity line). I am now a big fan of it (maybe more if the bow was on top close to the shoulder). Love your blog, very inspirational!!! Thanks for all the great photos from the convention!!!

Thank you for the lovely comment about the blog Jennifer! I am glad you are enjoying it. It’s funny how an outfit on one doll leaves leaves you with a “Meh” and on another doll it opens up a whole fresh look at it. Kind of like Harry Potter when he finds the right wand LOL! I guess that is what styling is like for these diminuative divas….finding the right wand amongst the plethora of selections. Wow! Am I philosophical this morning or what 😀 I need to check what was in that last cup of coffee!!
